Challenges Facing NGO's in Fragile States

This article attempts to address issues concerning challenges facing NGOs, particularly regarding programming in fragile states.

NGOs working in partnership with local institutions engaging the state and non-state actors in development in fragile states face many challenges. The article highlights key challenges including weak governance, high level of corruption, poor accountability and transparency. This often leads to broken trusts among development partners and weak foundations necessary for growth and development.
