Joined up thinking for tackling severe malnutrition

Children with malnutrition are about 10 times more likely to die of intercurrent illnesses. Ready-to-use therapeutic foods (RUTF) are key, but should be used in conjunction with care for other childhood illnesses, including access to antiretrovirals. Community mobilisation for tackling malnutrition is possible
